Making simple culverts

Post by MLB »

I'm currently playing the Chain of Command campaign Taking The Gembloux Gap and one scenario calls for the French to demolish two road culverts to stall the German advance. As culverts also feature in a number of other scenarios I wanted to make some for my terrain. I wanted something fairly versatile and came up with the idea of doing them as 'bookends'. There are some pictures in the following posts as I can't post more than two links in this post and there is a little bit more about how I constructed them here

Like the "book end" approach. Great stuff.

Makes perfect sense.....once you have been shown how it can be done. 😎

Looks great. Are the resin water effects that hard to use? I have never tried and the only people who have seem to have an artistic confidence that alludes me.

You don't really need to use Resin, a couple of coats of glossh varnish will do the trick for smaller areas like this.

Or even white glue?

In my experience, white glue dries a bit opaque for my liking. I might try white glue with a clear varnish on top.
