The irony here is many many wargamers stay away from Lardie rules because they think the funny titles mean they aren't 'serious' wargames rules
There are some strange people about. It was the funny name that drew me into IABSM :D

Looking forward to D&V, from the description it seems right up my forum and I’ve got the armies (most of them painted!)
I think my Centurion will be Minimus Dickcus. Still working on the German chief.
See you in the morning down by the Jetty

I've just assembled a Roman Limes Tower that I got from a KS some years back. Looks like Roman buildings just became a priority. The army is ready.

In am not adverse to changing back, if that's what people prefer. I really like Infamy, Infamy. The playtest process is as much about testing the name as the rules...

I like the humour in D&V, but then the only people who get it are ex British and Commonwealth military, so maybe the joke is a bit too subtle.

On the game itself, is it intended to be primarily classical, or to extend either earlier (Bronze Age heroics) and/or later (Dark Ages/Medieval)? Thee scale of the game would work for a 'retinue' in any of those periods.

Hmm Kenneth Williams or the British Military , which is more subtle??

Who is funnier Carry On or the Regt of Guards?
(No cracks about arrests in public loos please)

My brain might implode trying to work this one out.

Yup, INFAMY! INFAMY! for the win. Now imagine a cover that shows a comic style panel of Caesar remarkably Kenneth Williams-like screaming you know what, with the bulk of the cover showing the Roman legionaries facing their enemies (unseen). :o 8-)
