Perfect, the room is upstairs but lift and staircase, tea room off it and loos on the same floor.

Will do a formal post here tomorrow, and elsewhere, have done one on the yahoo group already.

And for those in the know, venue is:

Victoria Hall (Methodist) Sheffield, just opposite the crucible and in the heart of the city.

Sounds good, Fred, count me in.

Should be able to put on a game, happy to run morning and afternoon sessions if wanted - how many games do you have space for?

I guess you'll be 'advertising' on LAF, TMP and the various TFL Facebook sites, and contacting the various South Yorkshire clubs?

I reckon we could get 12 games in at a push, I was aiming for 6 as a first event, with hopefully 30 or so attendees.

Any further update on this? Numbers attending, games on offer, etc.

That's a concept that will take some time to rid my mind of.

It appears (via the near-impenetrable yahoo group) it's cancelled for this year anyway.

Gives us more time to prepare for 2018 - better that the first event is one year late and a success rather than a flop. And having seen the amount of work involved behind the scenes at Evesham and Durham, it's not the sort of thing that can be thrown together with a few weeks notice.

Hmmmm... BarnsLARDy 2018 maybe...

Very sorry to hear about it being cancelled this year but that gives a much higher chance of me being able to attend next year.
