Measuring movement distance blind

Post by dirk bracke »

How do you measure the distance travelled by the blind. The longest distance any part of the blind makes or the shortest?

cheers

As long as you keep the orientation of the Blind the same and measure from the same point, then it doesn't matter.

Sneaky people, and you know who you are, have been known to change the orientation of a Blind during its movement to gain or lose a few inches!

Normally changing formation requires a Big Man to spend a Command initiative and then troops use normal movement to get into position.
For a blind I’d do something similar and just measure the farthest distance moved by the blind to move into the new formation. So it would be easy for troops in Sweep formation to turn to right or left and then move in Indian file in that direction, but it would take longer to pivot the blind around its centre into Indian file.
