I Did It, Local Game Day Is 25% Lard

Post by John Thomas8 »

One of the few b&m gaming stores in our area, Gamer's Armory, is hosting a miniatures day on 15 Feb 14. And I've managed to get 2 of the 8 slots, one for CoC and one for Hexless Algy.

Can't ask for much more than that.

The lard games are both on Table 4.

Here's what I'll be rolling out:

Chain of Command (each side will have ~35 points of support)

and

Hexless Algy

They've updated the page with more game details, and TFL is the only named rules company

Great job, John. North Carolina is now Lard's country!

Thanks.

It looks like the weather around here is going to cooperate enough that we game runners will be there and folks will come out to play. We've lost a couple of great gamers due to them being in outlying areas and snowed/iced in, but the venue is wide open and all but 1 game runner is going to show.

We actually ended up being 2 of 6 games and I'll get AARs up shortly. Things went well, considering the recent weather (too much snow in North Carolina).

The only thing I really regret about today's gaming in not having a TFL shirt and big ol' sign over the table. I hand Algy play test, CoC and Sharp End and Elephant with me and talked to multiple people about all of them. I did get 8x10 signs on the table with the rule book covers on them and "larded" everyone who stopped for 3 seconds, but there was a distinct lack of "eye magnets" at the table.
