HCon 2018 Lard?

Post by Neal Smith » Sat Feb 24, 2018 5:00 pm

The game submissions recently opened for Historicon 2018. Is there going to be an effort to organize a "Lard Room" again?

I want to participate this time!

I'm NOT offering to organize though... ;)

Hi,

Yes we are planning to be at Historicon in July. We are currently in the process of setting up a 'club' on HMGS so we can register our games together. No games have been submitted for the PEL at this point (23 Mar), but we will get them in prior to the 11 April cut-off. Are you interested in running a game? If so, let me know (e.bowen66@yahoo.com) and I'll be sure you're added to our club/group when it gets set up.

At Cold Wars we ran CoC, SP, IABSM, KMH and others.

Thanks,

Ed Bowen

I was fortunate to play in 4 different games, three different game masters and one asst. All of the games were great, the Game masters did a super job.

Chaps, just to let you know that I will be over for Historicon. I am happy to run games or generally do anything required of me, but clearly I won't be dragging a hundredweight of toys across the Atlantic.

Very much looking forward to heading over.

Lard America, will be hosting a great assortment of games from the TooFatLardies at Historicon this year. Like we did at Fall-In 17 and the recent Cold Wars, we hope to have a great variety of TFL games scheduled and already have some submitted for inclusion in the PEL. BUT, we're looking for more.

If you're interested in running a TFL game and want to be included in the Lard America area, please submit your game using the Game Master Event Submission form on the HMGS website and include the following statement in the Special Requirements block near the bottom of the form:

"This game is part of the Lard America gaming club events and should be co-located with those games in Distlefink."

Submission deadline for the PEL is 11 April 18 which is quickly approaching.

Also please let Patrick Berkebile (berkebilep@yahoo.com) and Ed Bowen (e.bowen66@yahoo.com) know what you are submitting so we can maintain a club schedule.

Thank you,

Ed

Sadly I can't make it for the whole show but I will be there Friday to run a KMH game. I'd drive up Thursday night for some pick up games of "What a Tanker" as well.

I'm looking forward to it as well. I was horrified to see that I last came over in 2011, seven years ago! Very much looking forward to seeing old friends and meeting new ones. We have, I think, twenty Lard games running so it should be a great time.

I am most flattered to have been informed that the HMGS is appointing me to the Legion of Honor on the Friday night, so that should be a fun evening as well.
