Claymore this weekend

Postby Richard » Wed Aug 03, 2016 8:06 am

Hoots and other local salutations to our chums in Scotland! This Saturday, the 6th of August, I'll be running Sharp Practice games at Claymore in Edinburgh at the internationally renowned Claymore show, that glittering display of all that is good in wargaming, carefully hand crafted by the South East Scotland Wargames Club.

Hope to see some of you there.

That description did make me wonder if you were attending a different Claymore...
I'll see you there, and looking forward to a game of SP in the afternoon!

That is humiliating!

I won't be dressed in that manner on Saturday.

Richard, I'm not sure who this 'Derek' person is, but I'd strike him off your Christmas card list... :)

Look forward to seeing you there, Richard. In fact, the Glasgow Phoenix will be putting on a Peninsular Sharpe Practice 2 game at Claymore, so we can come to you with our rules questions :)

Arl Marsson: You are not kidding. In the interest of full disclosure, it was Wee Derek who bought me the bloody hat and the Irn Bru at the first Deep Fried Lard event four years ago. I still have the hat, but the Irn Bru has long gone...

Peter: Very much looking forward to meeting you and the lads. I've heard a lot about your club from Dougie Trail in his occasional sober moment (I won't tell you what he said about you) . I will be running a Sharp Practice game as well, so if I get stuck with the rules I will come and ask you. :D

Looking forward to a couple of nights out in Edinburgh too. Nothing quite matches the sheer joy of a Scottish hangover.

Cheers

Richard
