Wor Lard the Second

Post by JimLeCat » Sun Feb 14, 2016 6:58 pm

Hi All,

As previously announced, this will be taking place on the 2nd April 2016 at Durham Wargames Group.

Richard Clarke will be joining us, but is currently playing cards close to his chest as to what he might do!

Monty Lardo will be taking us to a galaxy far, far away, in the Lardiverse with the playtest Sci Fi rules he is developing.

We will be dusting off Hello Sailor and going to the Mediterranean in 1941.

There are two games of Sharp Practice planned, one taking us to North Africa in the late 19th century (Beau Geste might put in an appearance), one to Danzig in the 17th century, with Cossacks and ships!

Lastly, and definitely not least, there will be a Kriegsspiel. Details are currently a closely guarded secret (even I don't know!), but it will be run once, for half the day (morning or afternoon yet to be decided).

Other possible (probable?) less exotic games, depending on interest, include Dux Brit, Kiss Me Hardy, Bag The Hun, Charlie Don't Surf, I Ain't Been Shot Mum and Chain Of Command.

Just reply to this for more details or to reserve a place.

Cheers,
Jim

Hi Jim

Great news, put me down for a place please!

Will there be beer and curry, on which night, and where do you recommend for a stop-over?

And apologies if I've already replied to you on this, I suspect I've managed to cross-post replies to both you and Ade at Evesham - an excess of Lard today, obviously!

Simon

Hi Simon,

Don't worry, you are indeed already down for a place. :-)

I've replied in more detail to the email you also sent me. Just making sure I got the message? ;^D

Cheers,
Jim
