Historicon 15

Post by mgluteus »

Is anyone putting on a CoC game at Historicon this year? We would but having to get there by train ( a 10 hour ride) we cannot carry anything but our clothes and an extra empty suitcase to carry our purchases on the return trip. There is nothing listed in the Preliminary Events List(PEL).

There is this:

T-475 Train Ride to Hell - Russia 1942 1PM Thursday
F-476 Train Ride to Hell - Russia 1942 1PM Friday
World War II; 1 PM; Length: 4 hrs; Hosted by: Mitch Abrams; Scale: 15mm;
Rules: Chain of Command; No. of Players: 6.
German troops are riding the train to relieve a far off place call
Stalingrad. It should be easy to get there - follow the train tracks.
Who would want to stop them? Perhaps some Russian partisans.
Rules explained and slightly simplified for a convention setting.

Unfortunately, I cannot make either as I have other games I'm planning on playing either before or after that overlap them. I am thinking of bringing my toys down though, and maybe setting up to see if anyone is interested. Would definitely be a pick-up game, not a specific scenario. Most likely Thursday evening, or late Friday night.

Ricky played in that scenario at the local con, Havoc, last month. We should set up a meeting time and spot for CoC gamers to get into these pick up games - otherwise how do we find each other?

Okay, if I remember correctly, usually Ballrooms A & F have some open tables later at night. How about if I find a table, start setting up, and we meet around 8pm Thursday night?

I have a platoon of Marines, a platoon of Japanese, and a limited number of supports. I'll have the core platoons pointed out, and a list with the available supports ready to go for whoever is interested.

What scale are you two playing in? A few of us will be coming up from the Charlotte area and bringing our forces, but we play in 28mm.
