Re: Blitzkrieg in Far East - Commonwealth book?

The short answer is "yes", and I'm actually half way through the Malaya section. It just takes an awfully long time, particularly as that period in that theatre isn't as well documented as others. For example, we all know that British/Commonwealth forces put all their Vickers MMGs in separate battal...

The September War: Ambush in the Beskides!

My turn to host a game of I Ain’t Been Shot, Mum, so I chose a scenario from the first September War scenario pack that would allow me to field some of my new motorised infantry vehicles: #24 Ambush in the Beskides. The game would feature a German attack on a prepared Polish position. The Germans wo...

Oder Diss or Oder Dat: a close call for the Soviets

Had a great game of IABSM last weekend. Soviets advancing towards the river Oder ran into a German blocking force: not a great day to be a Soviet scout! Re: Big man question

Yes, they can be shot at, but the chances of being hit are slim.

Calculate fire as normal as if the Big Man were a squad of infantry. That gives you the number of deaths (if any) in the "squad". Roll a D10 as usual and the Big Man is killed if you roll under the number of hits.

Re: Italian squad sizes and tweaking Battle for Liberation

Hi Dan The LMG Squad gets an extra dice when firing for having two squad support weapons. The two Action Italian squads in the Sicily book are deliberate. As usual in IABSM, they represent the fighting strength of the squad as opposed to the paper- or actual strength,..but tweak away. Just be carefu...
