Re: Hacking the ‘points’ system

It's interesting cos for 4 points you can buy an extra Panzergrenadier squad, whilst for the same points, you can buy a normal Grenadier squad, which is the same as a regular Brit squad. In a straight up firefight between all three, the Panzergrenadiers do have the advantage....

Re: Wrath of the Gods and other stuff...

Very good points. You can't take a pre-game barrage every scenario, and that leaves the Soviet player with only the Scout National Characteristic to exploit. And if you don't have Scout figures, or for some reason you don't have enough points left over to buy Scouts as they are expensive in support...

Re: Wrath of the Gods and other stuff...

So how about WoTG? Anyone feel it to be overly powerful at two points? It's a gamble. Incredibly useful and a bargain at two points if you can go 6 or 7 phases without 3 sixes or the use of a command dice. However, 3 sixes in phase 1 will leave you spitting. Probably fair at 2 points and nowhere ne...

I'd be happy to play test as well. I have a dozen JU88's and similar amounts of BF109's and BF110's on the painting table for when my Desert Rats are finished.

Re: Ambush

An ambush isn't always guaranteed to work anyway. The other day I ambushed with a Ruskie Tank Killer team and it was a complete fail, nothing happened except I burnt a very rare command dice to do it.

Vallejo have some very nice boxed sets in their Panzer Aces range. I really like Vallejo's and strongly recommend them.

Thats pretty much it. There are guys in the group who I will simply not play against.
