Re: Tactical and pinned

For me, Tactical is a conscious decision. Ie lying down flat on the ground behind a hedge. Firing would give that benefit away.

Pinned is a forced reaction, you're hitting the ground, not out of choice, but to save yourself. Firing wouldn't affect this. You'd just fire more poorly than normal.

Re: Panzergrenadier force level

I've beaten them with my Russians, but it's without dispute that they are a far tougher nut to crack than bog standard Grenadiers

And yet firing and moving, they still hand out almost as many hits as a Brit squad stationery. I find them very versatile all round troops.

Re: Mortar spotting - gamey or legit

Yes I think you're right. It may be my prepardness to allow it was a result of the PzG firepower - with a directing leader they're generating 23 dice vs 11 for my British section. It seems impossible to live on the same table as them. Brits should put out 14 if activating on a 3. 6 for the Bren plu...

Re: Day of contrasts

Right chaps. I'm not going to die. However I do have "stress". I always thought stress was something that weak individuals had. I presumed it was manifested in some kind of limp wrist sort of whingeing. No. For me stress is a sodding two week headache. And there is no easy cure. No tablets. no plac...

Re: Wrath of the Gods and other stuff...

but if you have bad luck, then it can be a very short game because it is possible that you don't get to deploy. Same can be said if the starting playing manages to string 3 or 4 uninterrupted phases together. I managed to do that from the second phase one game and it was a short, sharp, ugly game f...
