Interesting points.

I think manuals are great for giving us the standard information at the time, but as we all know doctrines change as the type of circumstances change. Like you said TT a picture can speak a thousand words.

I’m looking for some advice on WW2 German Wehrmacht infantry uniforms.

Are the uniforms worn by the Wehrmacht in France 1940 similar to those worn in Russian summer 1942?
