Need some scenario advice, please.

So, a local museum has asked our group to put on some naval wargaming scenarios in conjunction with a display they are having. The catch is, they have to be related to American history in some way. As we all know, there are no large battles with American sailing ships, and they want my sailing ships...

Re: FoW minis

Flashpoint miniatures are quite good for 15mm, and so are Peter Pig, albeit a bit smaller. The difference is not noticeable if they are not in the same unit however. As for BF, the US figures are pretty good, as are the ANZAC ones. Derek is right though; stay away from the PAVN figures. "Miners lamp...

Playtesters needed

I think the campaign system I talked about in the other thread is about ready for its alpha test. I'm looking for 8 players (an overall commander, and 3 Rear Admirals per side) to try out the sample campaign I've included with the rules. There will be more slots later as reinforcements arrive for ea...

Re: A KMH campaign system: What would you want to see in it?

Now that we are back from vacation, I thought I would post the Table of Contents for the referee rules. I haven't put the section on Oared Vessels into it yet, but that will fall under movement. This ToC does not include the sections for the sample campaign; these are just the rules. Playing by E-Ma...

A KMH campaign system: What would you want to see in it?

I approached Rich about the possibility of a KMH campaign system, and he said that he would be interested in seeing such a product. I've been working on the idea, and am about ready to put it into playtesting among my local gaming group. Before things get too locked down however, I'm wondering what ...

Re: So Far From God variant. Anyone tried it?

I'm not so much worried about the implosion of the universe, or the rise of Cthulu or any of that petty stuff, really. I made a promise to the wife of no new periods and no new scales!

Re: So Far From God variant. Anyone tried it?

No, no, no, that is not going to happen. As it stands now, my sailing ships haven't been out for a game since 2011 or so, and that was a convention game. My ACW figures haven't seen a table top in even longer than that. The current plan is to sell off my 1/285 WWII airplanes at the next big conventi...

Re: Another Period To Play

Actually, I'm guessing those are probably 1/1200 scale ships from Navwar. I had a few of those myself when I started doing naval gaming.
