Re: Any Pickett's Charge sightings in the US yet?

OK then. Since both of you are on the East Coast, I should expect to see mine sometime within the next week or so. I know I'm starting to sound like this: https://www.pinterest.com/pin/554013191633356149/ but I really want my hard copy version to flip though. PDFs are nice, but just don't do it in t...

Re: Any Pickett's Charge sightings in the US yet?

I've got my troops from back in the 1990s, so am not too worried about that. I do need to paint up some staff officers though. So did you get your hard copy yet, and if so, when?

Any Pickett's Charge sightings in the US yet?

Well, just as the subject line says. Has anybody on this side of the ocean had a hardcopy drop in their mailbox yet?

That is, 1"=25 yards, and 1 casting equals about 20-25 m...

Re: Need some scenario advice, please.

Actually I WAS thinking about starting them a couple of moves outside maximum range. This will let the British players decide whether or not to try and bear down, or ease towards the French. That way they get both some maneuver, followed shortly by the shooty part.

Re: Need some scenario advice, please.

Oh, one thing I forgot to mention is that I plan to have every turn represent about 5 minutes. The firing doesn't start until 4:15, and sunset is at 6:30. So, this will be a reminder to the British player that he has to attack. The plan is to have a clock, and advance the hands after each turn.

Re: Need some scenario advice, please.

John, I had thought about treating the French as JJTs, but without some of the bonuses that they normally get and then making some of the British SCs. However, like you said, I think it might be too confusing for the public. I suspect the fact that the Royal Navy doesn't automatically win against th...
