Re: First CoCpaign - WSS magazine Arnhem campaign

Beautiful table, makes me want to finish off mine! --- 2 mortar observers - this is interesting. Would you let them both call in fire at the same time? I've quickly checked and I believe mortars are a battalion asset: http://www.lonesentry.com/articles/ttt09/german-infantry-regiment.html Unless the ...

Re: WP and cannister and other missing items

For bazooka the best way would be to note down how many he and how many wp you have. You already have to note down how many times you've fired so this is no more work. This way it's a tactical decision what you carry like in reality it would have been. Choosing when you shoot what you're carrying is...

Re: Multiple questions !!

Am I not right in saying that you could never shift a barrage if you needed LoS as a barrage blocks LoS..? You can play that you can move it to somewhere he COULD see if the barrage wasnt there.

Personally I house rule 7+ to a 6 then a 4+, 8+ to 6 then a 5+. Noone is bullet proof even Elite troops with cover fire.

Re: Deploying from a JOP in a building in another building?

Just place the JOP on a higher floor. Then you can deploy on the top floor.

Re: Kampfgruppes for Chain of Command

Just a quick thought. You could include a table to roll on to represent not always getting what you want. Say you ask for a Tiger. Maybe in this theatre those are in short supply so it's a 10+ on 2d6. Mark IV could be 8+ or whatever. Would limit the uber army further. Or for those with large collect...

Don't forget you can also make new teams in the game using a Command Initiative of a leader.

Re: Questions from last night

A JOP is not a physical thing. It's just a place troops can get to safely. Enemies near it just means troops can't get there safely anymore. Moving it would just represent the troops getting to another safe location nearby. Makes perfect sense to me to allow it to be moved if the commander wants to....

Re: Commando list 1939-1940

I'd have thought those special abilities would not be force rating neutral (i.e. they actually seem useful!). How useful comes down to play testing - just looking at firepower doesn't really tell the whole story. Don't have a lot to add as I've not studied the force. I did read about the St Nazaire ...

Re: Kampfgruppe von Luck

Been looking at Forged in Battle models recently for some more US paratroopers...

They have some nice British ones too though...

But I don't need to start a fourth army! I tell myself 15mm is 'cheaper' but you spend the same amount just get more for your money! :D
