Having worn battle dress during my time as a soldier, I can verify that it's basically impossible to roll up the sleeves. And that it was a pig of a uniform to wear!

Lard Island Souvenirs?

I have just returned to the Wide Brown Land (aka The Greater Antipodes, Oz, or even Australia for the imagination deficient) after a month long sojourn traipsing through Italy, Germany, France and England. All fascinating in their own way, and I have got some mementos of my time in these captivating...

Re: Mother of all Battles 2015

I wasn't intending to play in any event at this year's MOAB, but as it's at my home club located a 10 minute walk away from the ooze'ouse over a long weekend which includes my birthday AND it's Chain of Command, I'm up for it. Are you allowing lists from outside the book (I have a Japanese force der...

Re: Updated Force Ratings

Fantastic work, and I heartily second the motion to pin/ sticky this impressive piece of work. Speaking as a second bloke hereabouts called Richard (ok, so it's a tacky & gimmicky attempt to influence you) and as one whose interests are far more Asian fronts oriented than European, would it also be ...

Re: Hawkcon Event 2015...

It's a pity that Hawkcon was cancelled (I'm a member of the hosting club, but running it over the Mother's Day weekend was quite unwise), but if you're going to be running the event at MOAB (same club, much more adjacent venue for me) and are allowing armies from other lists published on this site (...

Re: Aussie Militia delaying action scenario

Ah, the wondrous bed sheet of doom strikes again! (Although your representation of kunai is equally impressive - what did you use there?) Thank you - again - for providing me with even more motivation to get my own Australians up and going (their IJA rivals are sitting impatiently beside me as I typ...

Re: Winter War Game: Attack on the Border Post

I am constantly being distracted from focusing on building the forces and terrain for my Papuan campaign by thoughts of the Winter War (thinks: 'Mmmmm, Finnish'), and your visual feast has done nothing whatsoever to release me from this all pervading dilemma. Fantastic terrain and troops, outstandin...

Re: Another CoC with Aussies in the SW Pacific

I'm currently collecting Australians and Japanese of the 1942 Papuan campaign, so this magnificant visual feast resonated all the more so with me. I love the scenery, and the figures just look out and out schmik.

Kudos to all concerned.

Re: N.Africa Desert Campaign

What a glorious looking game, and equally, what an utterly extraordinary result.

How much ribbing is that Indian player going to take from his mates after his curious choice of support options (at least until somebody else becomes the next imitator of a lemming at a beach party).

Quantity and quality are often completely different entities, and while the braying of a mob may drown out a fine soloist for a while, it will never compromise their crystal clarity.
