French VB Rifle Grenades - post errata

Hello all, As a player about to debut a 1940 French Infantry platoon, I’m trying to get my head around the new rules regarding Rifle Grenades, and have a few questions: 1) To confirm: in the published list, a 1940 French rifle platoon has 4 VB launchers, each with one crew: one in each of the three ...

Re: Table/Mat/Hexes/scale noob question

Also consider my "Bagging the Hex" 'Hexless' Bag the Hun article in the 2012 Summer Special. It includes a number of printable turning templates that translate all the manoeuvres onto a non-hex playing surface, and can be printed at any scale. Might be an option before you invest in a mat? For what ...

Re: Peninsular Lists: Questions about Light Infantry

Wow John,

Excellent advice for the Rifles.

Only run a couple of games with my own British Peninsular list, and still getting to grips with it all, but I was beginning to worry about the value of the green jackets. Those tips may well keep them in the mix.

Re: Buildings France/Belgium May 1940

Hi Dragoon, If you're thinking of scratch builds, consider making them flat-packable for easy storage. Here's a tutorial I wrote on Lead Adventure Forum: http://www.lead-adventure.de/index.php?topic=88661.msg1094531#msg1094531 . Couple more pics using the same techniques. These can all be folded fla...

Sharp End Question: Platoon Commander killed - Opinion

Hi all, Question from At the Sharp End. A chum and I have been playing through the excellent Op Martlet Pint sized campaign and after 4 games my Brits have only just evicted the Germans from their outpost line at Le Fontenay :? It's our first crack at At the Sharp End too. In finally achieving a vic...

Re: Video Review of IABSM cards from Arts Cow

Hi there, Thanks for the review, I threw these together for some quick games, glad you find them useful. Any suggestions for improvements? In fact since we're both in sunny West Oz, maybe we can get together for a game with them some time!? I'm a member of PMGG at Myaree - where currently everyone's...

Re: Small CoC in the Desert

Hi all, Graham here - I made the cloth. Yep Buttersuede is a lovely microsuede, drapes nicely over some packing foam hills. I have previously used it unpainted, but this cloth was somewhat stiffer thanks to the paints, but still contours smoothly. I copied an old tutorial of His High Lardiness Rich ...

Re: Planning some 28mm 1943 Italy action. Advice?

Eclaireur, Good choice going for Italy, fascinating and oft-overlooked theatre. Can't really add more about figures, but can I suggest for buildings you consider the Italeri 1/72 range, especially the church. I recently picked one up on eBay for around AUD40 and although it's nominally 20mm scale, i...

Re: Hexless Bag the Hun

Hi folks, At the risk of thread necromancy, there is a sort of Hexless Bag the Hun already. I wrote an article and produced a set of print and play resources (manoeuvre and formation templates) that specifically allows the game as published to be played on a hexless surface. The article was publishe...
