if crossing a decent stream and certainly a river, wouldnt the unit crossing be regarded as Unformed?

I suspect that that rule is intended for the 'foot' dragoon regts in 1805/06, rather than your typical dismounted French dragoon squadron in the Peninsula etc. IMHO, these should fire as skirmishers only. I have dismounted skirmishing figures done for two of my AB French dragoon regts so am thinking...

Would love to see Vittoria Dave. We played the expanded Guarene scenario yesterday from the recent annual (2017?) and its got me thinking about a big peninsular game with all my three Brit divisions on the table plus lots of cav... :)
