What is a good first read covering the 6th Airborne action? Not looking for section-level detail, but would like something well above a Wiki page.
Thanks

Re: Advancing in Open Order
"...bunching is less of a problem when playing with 15mm figures which are a closer match to the groundscale." This. The effect of terrain is also improved = how many guys can fit behind this wall? Tangent: To spice up solo play, I've taken to rolling casualties within a team to determine which fig...

Re: CoC: 7 July 44 - Hedgerows Across the Vire River
Thanks. It's 15mm, so (more or less) game scale = ground scale, with a coverage of ~200x250 meters. Copying an area off of Google Earth (with adjustments/tweaks to allow for my existing fields/bldgs) eliminates the thinking/planning surrounding table layout: it just is what it is. The copying includ...

https://i575.photobucket.com/albums/ss191/brawlfactory/CoC/Farm%20Buildings_zps060auc6p.jpg Not a pretty, polished entry, but since one of the responses in the earlier setup thread (Needed: German CO to pick supports) stated "I love reading everyone’s tabletop exploits!" I figured it wouldn't hurt....

Re: Needed: German CO to pick supports
The forces have been set (photos added to the '7 July' post on the blog - same link as OP). I tried to distill the support suggestions into a (to me, at least) logical force. Oddly enough, I didn't pick any entrenchments (even though I made them...) because I thought that a)The bocage provides enoug...

Re: Needed: German CO to pick supports
15mm. Using the game's ground scale makes it easy to cheat with layout/design: I just use Google Earth to locate an interesting spot in the battle area, overlay a 200x250 meter outline (my table size), and then trace. A fair amount of fudging is required to allow for the use of my (cloth) field piec...
