Hi,
I'd start with '18 platoon' and 'With the Jocks' for the British, 'If you survive' for the Americans.
If you want ready made scenarios, any of the IABSM scenarios should be easily scaled down and the Skirmish Campaigns series are good.
Cheers,
Jim

Re: Deploy and Activate?
I don't know what Rich's rationale is, but mine is that they don't rush in and start shooting, they were already there, just waiting for orders to engage. I don't know how else to explain it when troops suddenly turn up at a Jump Off point in the middle of the table with enemy troops overlooking the...

Re: Infantry Anti-Tank Weapons vs Troops
I think it's probably because they are different. Same rough weight range as smaller mortars, but a shaped charge, so you don't get the same general blast area and they aren't designed for shrapnel. They need a hard target to get a more general effect. Mortars, infantry guns and AT guns firing HE ha...

Re: Infantry Anti-Tank Weapons vs Troops
But Jim, every anti tank weapon has an AP value and an HE value... You're right, it's late, I'm tired, I just read the column heading for AT rifles and didn't think about it! I still think they shouldn't double up on hard cover, though... As far as ATRs go you could probably reduce the cover for an...

Re: Infantry Anti-Tank Weapons vs Troops
I wasn't referring to the HE based AT weapons, but to anti-tank rifles, which I don't think use this rule, although it nowhere says HE based infantry AT weapons only. Yes, shaped charge HE weapons make a big mess - although according to first-hand accounts the original bazookas didn't make big holes...

Re: Infantry Anti-Tank Weapons vs Troops
I'm not sure about the to-hit target number for infantry anti-tank weapons, but even granted all the above, I'm not sure I would give anti-tank rifles double the effect against buildings - they don't have any HE in them, so while they will punch through walls, there isn't going to be the same shrapn...

Re: Deploy and Activate?
Except that having deployed the section on the '2', they are activated (to fire only) anyway, so the '1' isn't needed...

Re: broken ... double or more than double ?
All the references but that one (including on p.63) say double, not more than double, so I would go with that. Still, probably the only person who can say for sure is Rich...
