Re: Dux Imperial Rome anyone?

David Imrie(Saxon Dog) did an Imperial Rome conversion for Dux Brit, called The Eagle. It's for a specific scenario (opening scene of The Eagle) but can be used for almost any Imp. Rome skirmish or small battle. He even made new cards which you can also download.(game deck and Fate cards) But I lost...

Re: Another one of those unforseen situations

Absolutely not John! Main thing is that archers react differently to skirmishers when charged. On page 50 it simply says that Missile troops are dispersed when contacted. Nothing about the attacking unit(s) following up or having to move their thrown distance. So I assumed the movement of the attack...

Another one of those unforseen situations

A formation of 8 Raiders (foot) charge an enemy skirmisher group facing away from them. The skirmishers evade but the charging raiders hit a small enemy cavalry group when following up. The fleeing skirmishers went right through the cavalry BTW. Do they fight? In this case the cavalry simply evaded ...

Re: Footsore Irish

What would you use for Noble Raiders then Willie? Hi Derek, I prefer my Irish to be lightly armoured so I went for Gripping Beast sets IR05 IR06 and Ir07 for my Noble Warriors. http://www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=1371 http://www.grippingbeast.com/product.php?ItemID=1372 http://www.gripp...

Re: Footsore Irish

Absolutely!
The Fianna are probably meant for a slightly later period (post 800 AD) but the warriors, Heroes and command are perfect for Raiders

AAR 3 Short and Bloody

Habitancum April 427 No rest for Quintus Lucius Blaesus! Once again Pictish raiders have landed on the East coast and are rushing inland. They make good time and almost before anyone knows they have surrounded a small Mithraic temple. Whilst ostentiably a Roman Catholic province the old faiths still...

AAR 2 - Pictish Surprise

Gododdin March 427 After supporting Lucius Quintus a few days earlier, Dectotctric and his Pictish raiders decide to bring home a few mementoes from their excursion to the South. Thruth is, his wife the redoutable Christa, wouldn't appreciate him coming home empty- handed. So they have raided a big ...
