Re: Thoughts on a Kingdom of Soissons Campaign?

Do you mean the Syagrius campaign in Belgica II? Clovis et al? It would make a fantastic campaign especially with the Armorican bacaudae and such. We played a few separate games using these forces but no campaign as of yet. For some reason the British campaigns are more alluring to the majority of o...

Re: Nobles in combat

Same here. We always count a sole Noble as Elite. Makes for an exciting fight sometimes. I'm sure Glenn will always remember wiping out a group of 5 warriors with his Lvl II Noble.

Re: HELP! Looking for a figure

One of the most suitable would be the Gripping Beast Ulf character. He's almost 36mm tall and beautifully sculpted. I think he would make a nice 'Cei' http://www.grippingbeast.co.uk/SHVA15_Ulf_The_Quarrelsome_1_Irish_Special_Character--product--5349.html Another 'big' one is this Brude from Bronze A...

Re: The Dux Britanniarum Compendium

Any chance the Compendium could be available at Salute? April 22nd?
With the new Iron Duke figures and the new Warfare Miniatures ready, it can't get financially any worse. And I need at least three copies.....

Re: Two nobles in 1 group possible?

As already, and more eloquently said :yes
But... if the group find itself in combat both Noble cards would (re-) activate the fight if the previous one(s) wasn't/ weren't decisive enough to cause a fall back or rout. At least that's how we play it.

Re: Indian Mutiny minis ready

Phillippe,

Blood Of An Englishman by William Clive can also be considered a novel. Rather brutal.
I will be using the Perry Afghans as mercenaries in the Indian Mutiny. They fit in perfectly with the fantastic Iron Duke ones.

Nothing like a bit of pressure to bring out the best in you! Certainly in your case.

If figures don't smell of varnish at the show you've done something wrong....

Re: Indian Mutiny minis ready

Only read Flashman in The Great Game, which was excellent. Are there any other Flashman novels set during the Mutiny? You might be interested in the Jack Lark series by Paul Collard. A bit like the Sharp novels but grimmer. At least 2 of them are situated in India The Maharajah's General (India pre...

Re: Indian Mutiny - the least played setting?

I was planning on using SP2 for the Franco Prussian war but then was cautioned that it wasn't really meant for that period. So I wholeheartedly switched to Indian Mutiny. Axel and I are very busy getting all the figures ready (we both simply fell in love with the Iron Duke gems!) We both should have...
