Moving off the table

We had something happen last night that the rules don't cover. A damaged Stug had backed up against the table edge. It was hit by fire from a T28, with equal strikes and saves, and had to retreat 5". So it backed off the table. What happens? We rule that the crew has suffered morale failure and bugg...

Re: Humbers and Pumas and Stags, oh my

One feature of the Puma (and all 8-wheeled German armoured cars) was that they featured another driving position at the back, so they could be driven backwards as fast as forwards. So they should go the same speed backwards as forwards. Maybe you need to spend a drive dice for the driver to swap pos...

Re: 3D Printed Tokens? (And a quick rules question)

Funnily enough we had it the other way round in our games.
The early war tanks shot ineffectually and then blew up.
The late war ones nibbled away and slowly lost dice.

Re: How to represent casualties and shock?

You don't need that many single based figures to 'make change' - only 2 or 3 per squad.
My figures are based in 2s and 3s (so a squad for those with 8 figures is 2x3 and 1x2 man LMG). I find a dozen or so single figures per side enough for game.
No nasty markers needed - just count the figures.

I use 1:72 (20mm) scale, because I have stacks of vehicles in that scale.

Re: Tanking in the desert

We were playing across it, but it made very little difference after the first 3 moves or so - all the tanks were circling round the oasis like fighter planes trying to get on each others' tails.

Re: Tanking in the desert

The Matilda was the first tank to get blown up. After some ineffectual shots at its front and rear, the Panzer III zoomed round behind the lumbering Matlida, and got in a rear shot which killed it. The Panzer III was then taken out in turn by a rear shot from the Crusader. The M13/41 didn't quite ro...

Tanking in the desert

For our second game, I decided on a desert war clash. An M13/41 and a Pz III J took on a Matilda II and a Crusader III. A fun battle, which ended with only the Crusader left, all the other tanks being brewed up. We used the cards this time (one per player), but only one got used. Some shots of the a...
