Re: Big CoC Game Update

3. Can a senior office activate a tracked AFV chosen from the support list with one of his initiatives. A senior Leader can command any men from his own Battalion. So a Senior Leader from a US armored infantry battalion would be able to command any M8 HMCs or M4 105 Shermans from his battalion's as...

Re: Identifying stands

Lindybeige made a video about this topic. It's not something I do but it is an interesting idea none the less.

Re: Covering fire

Covering fire while perhaps not ideal, remembering that Covering Fire only lasts until the end of the next phase, certainly allows for the feel of 10 secs or so of an increased rate of fire. This is really my main point. If covering fire represents troops continuing to fire upon an enemy (or locati...

Re: Covering fire

I have long said that I really don't like the covering fire rule at all. The game already has a mechanic for suppressing an enemy (Shock), so I don't see the need for it. Consider the situation that a German MG is in the second floor of a farmhouse covering ground a section needs to cross. The JL sa...

Re: Chain of 40k (40k to CoC conversion rules)

Just played a game using 40k Eldar (versus SW Stormtroopers). Didn't get any pictures though. One thing I did to simplify the conversion is to change the dice that are rolled. For example, Eldar roll d8s for all movement rolls, Orks roll d8s in close combat, Space Marines roll d8s to hit, etc. I did...

"Firing MG against infantry is not as good as HE as it doesn't reduce cover, so we count it as two-thirds the value. So 6 points of MG fire is counted as HE rating 4."
But they are armed with .50 cal MGs which do reduce cover.

Re: 29 Lets go campaign pdf

If you or your opponent has the figure for the `44 list you will be fine. hehe There's no shortage of late war WW2 figures around my house. I was just hoping for a single player campaign where one player fights a series of different opponents. That or some sort of two-player coop campaign. Just som...

Re: 29 Lets go campaign pdf

It says that it uses the Sharp End campaign rules. The Allies are the 29th but does the German side use the campaign system or are they regular forces for each scenario?

Re: CoCulating vehicle costs for LRDG

Would make the unarmed White scout car at list 4 look a bit sick? I'd take the white scout car over an armed truck every time. The truck offers very little protection so will only be useful if kept out of line of sight. Do the vehicles include the cost of a Leader? It looks like i...

Re: CoCulating vehicle costs for LRDG

Ok, here's what I got. First off they all have 0 armor and Wheeled so base of 2 points. They all have a pintle mounted HMG which is 10 dice or +7 points. The main difference is their AP which is +2 for the HMG (might be a house rule), +4 for the 20mm, and +5 for the 3.7cm. The total points will be 1...
