Re: Weapons Ratings...

The M1919 is an oddity as its a bipod LMG with an additional leg! If this is the case, I suggest removing the reference to bipods and tripods from the master arsenal table and page 36. Group MGs as "Magazine LMG", "Belt-fed LMG" and "MMG or HMG". It's cleaner and then the game rules reflect the ter...

Re: Double Covering Fire

Multiple Covering Fire is not overpowered. The teams providing the covering fire do not actually do any damage. Consider how much actual shock/kills those three teams could have placed. Your opponent simply doesn't activate the team being covered and can use those activations somewhere else, so he d...

Re: 1940 German List

The StuG has an HE value of 3 even though it uses the same gun as the early PzIV which has an HE value of 6. Looks like a copy-paste error.

Re: British Recce probe

The US Cavalry Recon platoon is similarly organized. I was thinking it would be fun to stat out these units to run recon vs recon battles. The question would be whether or not you balance them with normal infantry platoons (by giving them very high Force Ratings) or just balance them with each other.

Re: Weapons Ratings...

How do you guys handle the US M1919 LMG? It's a belt-fed, tripod mounted LMG. There isn't an entry for tripod mounted LMGs in the master arsenal table. There's a bipod mounted LMG and a tripod mounted MMG. On page 93 it's referred to as a "tripod mounted MG" but on page 94, it's included in a LMG Te...

Re: Rifle grenades

Personally, I have no problem with all units (at least US and German) having a rifle grenadier. The German one was introduced in 1942, the American one was in use throughout the war (first in the Springfield and, later, the M1). You'll have to ask someone else about British and Russian use. Here's a...

Re: Activating tanks and tank destroyers on a 1 or 2?

I looked at this when thinking about an armor vs armor game and, indeed, it looks like you can only activate vehicles on a 3 unless it is a transport vehicle carrying a squad or team.

In the example YouTube videos, Rich is often combining a 1 and a 2 in order to move and fire with his vehicle.

Re: Help Rallying Points of Shock

In the YouTube videos, Rich uses his platoon sergeant to removes multiple shock from the same team on several occasions. Check out the end of part four.

Re: Covering fire

I'm happy to go with the covering fire getting cancelled but it seems to be a bit like purgatory - a logical extrapolation of the rules without any explicit basis. I agree that the rule is kinda gamey (and by the rules it doesn't seem to be stopped by LOS blockage nor does it restrict the firing un...

Re: Covering fire

It's Find, Fix, Flank not Find, Fix, Charge. The rifle team will seek to move to the flank of the covered enemy. If the situation is such that you can only attack an enemy by moving through your own fire, then the LMG team, in this case, should just suppress the enemy with regular fire, not use Cove...
