That is what I thought too.
Thank you

Melee with Elan
Hello
If a unit is fortunate to get ‘melee with elan’, with all the benefits, does that apply also to any supports in a second round melee e.g. do they also get an extra CD, or does it just apply to the lead unit for the duration of the melee?

Re: Plancenoit Church
Thanks John
I was at Plancenoit Church a few years ago and was very surprised how small it was. It is well worth a visit if going to Waterloo.

Re: Plancenoit Church
Thanks John As a commander I would have pushed in reserve troops to replace those fallen but as you say, the rules don't allow that e.g. no reinforcements allowed when attacking or defending a strong point. Do you think a 'fresh' unit could occupy a strong point/BUA in the same bound as the 'old' un...

Plancenoit Church
Hi Everyone Today we had a very enjoyable game playing Plancenoit. One little point of issue related to the troops in the church. My friend attacked the church at least four times in a seven bound game. Each time he was replused. Every time he came to contact but was beaten in the subsequent melee. ...

The Battle for Mont St Jean - the Grand Battery
Hi All We played the Mont St Jean game last week, and shall replay it next week. To those who have played it before, and to those who have not, I have a question in relation to the placing of the French 'Grand Battery'. In the game we played we placed the Grand Battery on the French base line. That ...

Re: Brigade compisition
Sometimes you have to use what you have. I once played a game with three British units on the French side! Ideally I use historical Brigades. I do not think mixed nationality brigades was something that happened in the French army. It may have in the pre 1808 Russian army. If you keep to the points ...

Infantry Routing into Stationary Cavalry
We fought Mont St John yesterday. I was French. My colleague lined his ridge with line troops. My French Line attacked in line formation (I threw a ten and an eight) one unit took no casualties from his fire; the other took three and three from his supporting unit. He threw very low scores. The Fren...
