Re: Force Morale & Broken Troops

"You can sometimes combine groups rather than Fill ranks in that situation - doesn't help with overall Shock but does put more bodies in a group and manages a weak group out of existence (avoiding any FM roll)" True but that kind of defeats the object of what we are looking for - faster reduction of...

Re: Force Morale & Broken Troops

You are not the only one who missed it. I'd forgotten the merge rule! 😀

Fill Ranks gets plenty of use with us but has its limits after a real hard fight, when dropping down to four or less figures will prevent any more coming forward due to the Shock requirement.

Force Morale & Broken Troops

As I understand, it you technically win a game by meeting the Scenario conditions, reducing the enemy Force Morale to zero, or the time honoured "Not much point in going on with this, is there?" rule, that applies to all Wargames. Re: Roman Command Quick Reference

Just spotted this post. Excellent job and yes please for a Barbarian version. Its an excellent aid to learning and playing the game. Haven't had chance to sense check it yet (which is not to suggest inaccuracy) but I would like to use it in a game or five at the very least to see how it goes! I wish...

Hooray for Poker Chips!

Big thanks for TFL Sales lighting turn round of my order for a set of Infamy poker chips! Three coats of Vallejo Washes in the appropriate colours (Red , Blue and Green for Tempus Fugit) then straight into action last night. Never used chips before but I have to say I find them a big improvement ove...

Re: Rich’s New game video and big question

To answer your question on ground scale Waterhouse, in Chain of Command it is 12”:40 yards, in Sharp Practice it is 12”:50 yards. There is no stated ground scale in Infamy, Infamy! Right! Thanks I knew Chain of Command was 12”:40 yards, I've not played enough Sharp Practice to question it personall...

Re: Rich’s New game video and big question

In essence bureaucracy was what won it, not superior military ability. I wouldn't go that far, but the Romans certainly took defeats in their stride and it was highly unusual for anyone to be punished just for losing a battle (as opposed to not displaying bravery, regardless of the result). That's ...
