OK, I've had enough of Infamy & Deployment!

Right, this is me and Infamy: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mv0onXhyLlE Infamy has failed the "25 Mile Rule" and yet again, we have had a non game, due to one sides failure to Deploy onto the table. I have played with the same people for nigh on 30 years, the various venues have always been 5-6 mi...

Re: How are you choosing your Forces?

Interesting that the number of archers is so low. Maybe the Brits didn't stand around to be shot at! 😀 Though I imagine its more to do with the expected amount of use by AD130.

Re: How are you choosing your Forces?

Yeah that sounds like the sort of thing I want to try. My Barbarian is nervous, I think he somehow feels he will get cut to ribbons. I am sceptical of that idea! 😄

Did you this BBC Documentary when it was on a few years ago, BTW?

Re: How are you choosing your Forces?

Sounds fair to me. Anyway, my regular opponent has said its OK to by him to up the equitata cavalry to alae values so that's the game issue solved! 😀 As for Legionaries, like I've said from the beginning. In historical terms, at the scale of the rules, I wouldn't expect to see them very often but I ...

Re: How are you choosing your Forces?

Evidence wise that's a good point. I guess the counter (non evidenced) would be that it makes a certain sense to have Ala trained to a different standard if they were predominantly used as "Battle Cavalry" where the Cohors chaps were used more as boarder guards and Para Military Police. The key thin...

Re: How are you choosing your Forces?

Cavalry mad fool that I am, I'm just working my opponents into accepting lists that will actually allow me to field Alea, rather than Auxiliary Horse! Far better value, for just one more point.

OMG! I'm starting to sound like a WRG rules player, from way back when!

How are you choosing your Forces?

Just a general inquiry to see what people are up to when it comes to putting little men on the table. Are you: (1) Just using the samples from the Force Lists section of the rules. (2) Using the sample Force Lists and adding 25/35/45 points on the D6 roll, as per Page 30 (3) Playing with your own ch...

Re: Force Morale & Broken Troops

Ben D: "Or, End of Act occurs, then you have to do a set back for all your breaking groups and the groups are removed" We have had a reasonable number of End of Act occurrences but either too soon in the game for breaking groups to be around, or possibly later on and we have forgotten them, even tho...
