Re: Simple infamy question...

Many thanks John. If a may add to the question.... For SP I based my basic troops on 1p coins, but looking at the size of some of these ancients I may have to go bigger? Accepted some people are using basing from other systems, but assuming you were just starting out, how would base your figures? Ar...

But just ball park figures on unit sizes and probable ‘army’ sized numbers? Please. The Foundry Copplestone Late Republican figures are prob...

Re: Sharp Practice Middlesborough area

I play when I visit your house!
Does that count?

I think forums are falling behind social media these days.

Re: ANCIENT SHARP PRACTICE

So, never having played DUX or yet to have my first game of SP (that’s tomorrow actually!)
What would the difference between the two ancient rules sets be??

Would it be down to amount of figures on the table?
Or would SP ancients include formations as well as skirmish troops?

Re: New to SP, some advice.

Thanks Greg. I’ve managed to buy some pre painted plastics at a very reasonable price. This gets me a late French force of line, old guard, skirmishers and cavalry. So I’m ready to play. This gives me time to gain experience whilst considering what to buy and paint myself. I’m still going to stay in...

Re: New to SP, some advice.

I’m in Manchester.
I play my games mostly at Element Games in Stockport.
The few historical gamers I know there are considering a SP event in November, I’ll keep the forum posted.

Re: New to SP, some advice.

Sadly I’ll be missing Partizan.
But thanks anyhow.
Turns out one of my club members is an avid SP man, so he’s going to show me the ropes!

Cheers
