The Breda Modello 30

After watching this video I am of the opinion that the Italian LMG's firepower should be reduced somewhat.

Off board mortars question

A question came up today from friend and his son while they were playing a game today; if you voluntarily stop a barrage to move it do you have to roll on the availability chart to see if it's still available? I told them I didn't think so but I'm not 100% sure.

Re: Early British Platoon Video

"Likewise we ignore that the idea of a ten-man section was to have eight for actual battle. It was the same for the Americans, but their target was nine.'

Not the same with the Americans, all members of a squad participated in fights. No left outs of battles.

Re: 1939 Poles errata

"The problem is that the BAR as been classed as a one man weapon, Im not sure this accurately represents its use, according to the manual and actual combat usage, an assistant BAR man seems to have been an important role from accounts. However the BAR does also not suffer from FP dice reduction and ...

Yes they are the same jacket. The M43 trousers are also the same except the airborne added the cargo pockets.

Re: More Q & A from new players

Units rout away immediately but are removed at the end o the turn if they haven't removed enough shock. Kind of hard to say what a board should look like. It depends on what you are trying to represent for your game. Best thing to do would be to check out pictures of how others have done things. Her...

Re: “Ranger” platoons in US infantry battalions

I've heard of them but don't knw much more than what has already posted. Both Battalion & Company commanders where generally given a fair amount of leeway in how they ran their units.

Divisions were still forming ad hoc Tiger units in Vietnam.

Re: Squads

Archdukek, I really don't think that that is a rule it's about getting started a game started. I'm still sure that Rich would say that you can use a short platoon if you wanted with no problem.

Re: Squads

There is nothing in the rules that says you have to take a full strength platoon. And knowing Rich he wouldn't have any problem with someone taking less than the full platoon.

Re: Chain of command demo games, a bit unconventional!

Note, Your US Armored Infantry Platoon is missing the LMG section and the 60mm Section.
