Re: Cavalry - fighting mounted and charging!

Saladin, In my SCW Army of Africa list I have added a cavalry scout squad as an option. You can also run a complete mounted platoon as well. There were many occasions for the use of cavalry and plenty of it....low level actions with cavalry are a definite inclusion and something that I think needs t...

Re: Abandoning the Patrol Phase?

In a recent Spanish Civil War scenario we played (AAR on the forum) we used the historical dispositions as per the scenario and it worked just fine. The Patrol Phase is an interesting way to mix up an historical scenario or introduce some of the factors that occurred in the real action, so it can be...

Re: Couple of CoC questions

Rich, I think it's clear that Chain of Command is 'going off'. People are thinking about using it for all manner of conflicts and plenty of theatres in WW2. The platoon structure means there are a myriad types of lists that could be constructed. Can I suggest that you can access a vast pool of untap...

Re: using a "2" ... coming from the FAQ thread

Gents, Can I suggest you check out Jim Hale's web pages on SCW forces. It is very good. http://myscw.blogspot.co.uk I have the Iron Ivan books also and they are indeed useful but would use them with caution for some organisations. The organisation of the typical Spanish platoon does not have a separ...
