Re: Arriba Espana!

....by the by, I noticed in Ronan's SCW AAR that he encountered the exact reason why overcooking the Legion does overstate their case @ CD6, Elite, DieHard. http://smolensk.homelinux.org/?p=2424 That's why the blending of Command Dice and Quality was used to knock back the Legion to fit into the sys...

Re: Cavalry Rules (from Espana Supplement)

Hi Stefano, I did think of a shock test like the tank overrun rule, but decided against it because of the way the close combat results work. The combat results kind of create a shock test effect causing units to run for safety receiving shock or actually getting overrun and destroyed if things go ba...

Re: Cavalry Rules (from Espana Supplement)

Stefano, et al, After some thought of the cavalry rules I would propose the following as a replacement for the current 'tank overrun' idea. Players can choose as they like but this method uses just as 'few' extra rules as the tank overrun idea and adds a bit more fidelity I think. Essentially the 'i...

Re: Cavalry Rules (from Espana Supplement)

Hi Stefano,

You do make some good points and I think there might be a way to use the current close combat system rather than the tank overrun model that might be better.

Still thinking on the detail but will post thoughts soon.

Cheers

Re: Cavalry Rules (from Espana Supplement)

Hi Stefano, Excellent questions! First off, credit where credit is due. The cavalry rules were based on an excellent Blog about Waziristan. See it here; http://waziristanonafancy.blogspot.com.au/2013/09/yes-chain-of-command-in-waziristan.html Juan I contacted you but got no reply - so thanks for a b...

Re: Arriba Espana!

"should it be 6 command dice for elites, and 5 for regulars?" No!! ;) A player can choose the 'type' of representation of the Legion as takes his historical fancy. For example, you can have them a little less tactically subtle (5 command dice) but fiercely committed (Elite) such as described in the...

Re: Arriba Espana!

"Why you call "asaltos"?I think in spanish we always writte Guardias de asalto." Hi Mendoza, I'm not sure what reference of the use of Asalto your commenting on here, but that webpage is Jim's and he does use the full terminology on several occasions - as we do in the lists. As Jack said, for we En...

Re: Arriba Espana!

Hi Mike, Glad you are enjoying the 'Lard Chain of Command' treatment of the SCW. Please don't forget that Jim Hale is a more than equal partner in this project...he does excellent research and has added considerably to making CoC:Espana so much better than I could've down myself. Most if not all the...
