Re: First Game planned of CoC Espana

Looks like CD 5 seems to be the general consensus. In the interests of providing a 'norm' I will reduce the CD to 5 which falls into line with Arlequin's and Rich's value as well....and James. In the end, players can rate their troops how the like based on their own readings. For all that Regular, C...

Re: First Game planned of CoC Espana

This is one of those discussions....could be CD6 with some examples or could be CD5 with other examples. There will be a final update in the coming week tweaking and correcting some minor errors. I think it's not unreasonable to allow the IBs to be either CD5 or CD6.....players can choose. There is ...

Re: Arriba Espana!

The 5th regiment list is only usable for the 1936 period when its personnel were absorbed into the EPR in early 1937.

Re: First Game planned of CoC Espana

....the good news is the Legion (and Regulares) are all but gutted by '37 and no other Nats troops get the 6 dice of 1936. The Int'l get it only for '37 and they slide away from there...their high water mark. In comparison to all the other troops of this period these ratings are reasonable after muc...

Re: Megaphones and Commissars

Hi James, In the presence of the senior leader is the same as the Russian commissar in Ww2 and I take it to mean attached. Wulf, megaphones were most definately used. Political allegiances, particularly in the early war, were very fluid so a good talking might convince some the cause they have backe...

Re: Megaphones and Commissars

Saladin wrote: The Megaphone rule seems to be half written and obviously open to abuse. Hi Saladin, How do you mean? Can you explain? If you think they are not powerful enough.....I wouldn't agree. If anything they are a bit to useful. However getting your megaphone 40yds from your enemy will be the...

Re: CoC:Espana - AAR - Battle of Merida

from memory...never a good idea The Legion got an off table 50mm mortar with spotter...treated just like any on-table mortar. We applied the CoC:Espana rules for direction of the mortar i.e. a spotter and leaders begin able to do this as per the SCW specific limitations...don't forget those! The Mil...

Re: A question on lists.

I would also recommend you get a hold of the Crete Skirmish Campaign books. I have them and this is a favourite subject of mine..they are very good IMHO. There is also an excellent skirmish Campaigns thread that has full conversion notes for these books so you will be off and running with 20+ worked...

CoC:Espana - AAR - Battle of Merida

Gents, Had a cracking game of CoC:Espana today. We played scenario 3 of the Iron Ivan campaign - Muerte en Merida. The situation was that a reformed militia force counterattacked a Legion detachment in Merida. They had support from a Tiznao Armour truck and a couple of dedicated off-table guns - spo...
