Re: Bit of news

Best of luck and hope that it all gets sorted sooner rather than later.

Re: CoC - What scale do you play?

If I was starting from scratch I'd most likely go for 20mm as the ideal compromise between size, cost and look.

Re: CoC - What scale do you play?

I went with 15mm due to cost, matching the ground scale, and already having 15mm kit for IABSM. I’d agree that 28mm looks grand but I can collect more varied forces in 15mm due to the cost saving. Terrain storage is a lot easier in 15mm.

Finally, the real reason, I can’t paint 28mm for toffee.

Re: Duration of games?

I've always considered the use of reserve dice on the Time Out card as being simultaneous. It's a very rare occurrence where two players will have units in the same vicinity with reserve dice. If it really came down to it I'd go for something very similar to your suggestion and get the players to ro...

Re: Duration of games?

You should be fine getting a result in 3.5 hours but...

The referee needs to keep the momentum going and the players need to be conversant with the systems.

I'd agree with the suggestion of starting with infantry only and add the extra systems in gradually in subsequent games.

Re: "fng" problems RPGs with PAVN units

They are attached to Company HQs, as per some of the scenarios in Surf's Up. If you don't have a copy I'd strongly recommend you pick one up. We base them as a pair of figures on a single base. When one casualty has been taken we use one of Peter Pig's very good casualty figures as an aid memoir tha...

Re: 15mm 1940 models

Have you considered looking at the Forged in Battle range?

I've got plenty of their infantry and a few vehicles. I rather like them. I know some folk aren't keen on the 'cast on bases' but I've grown to rather like them.
