Re: Screening a unit with another unit
I don't know if we've even ever had it come up? At least not where the second unit was far enough away that small arms hits wouldn't automatically be shared between the two as per usual, anyway. The rules make no mention of units blocking LoS, only preventing fire if they are friendly. I'd probably ...

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"
Haven't followed the discussion of the rules closely enough to answer #1, but as to #2, here are some photos of my 1:1 6mm forces for N. Africa: German 8th Independent MG Battalion https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/495783011363717120/709784614750912562/20200512_100526.jpg British 8th King's Roy...

Re: New Player Queries
Welcome! The extra space of a full table gives more room for maneuver, but the "action" of a Sharp Practice game should handily fit on a 4'x4'. My last game only saw fighting across an area about that size, the rest being used for approach march out of range of either side. You may need to tweak a c...

Re: SCATTER TERRAIN # 9 CLOTHES LINES and HAY STACKS.
Good thoughts on the washing lines! I was just looking at some spare overcoats from a Victrix sprue and wondering what to do with them, so this is well-timed!

Re: Handling Turns different
Tracking elapsed time in wargames, especially small-scale ones, has always been tricky. Your idea reminds me of the "moving clock" from Crossfire, which has a similarly variable length of turn. For demo games and such, I got in the habit of using the passage of real-world time rather than mechanic, ...

Re: Caissons and howitzers - anyone use them?
Agree with the thoughts above regarding caissons, they'd make lovely deployment points or objectives as well as good scenery for a battery or camp setting. Could possibly also be used as the ammunition cart support option. For howitzers, I've thought to treat them as one class of artillery for firin...

Re: Dunkelbraun or not to dunkelbraun?
Wot you dont want to take on a KV with a Panzer II? 😋 I might! Haha! I figured they'd see much less use in games post '40, and I don't have a pre-established notion of how they should look like I do for the IIIs and IVs. Good enough for my historical sensibilities, and any excuse to paint something...

Re: Dunkelbraun or not to dunkelbraun?
I'm doing my Panzer II platoon up in the grey-and-brown, since they'll be mostly used in 1939-40. The rest of my early war tanks are all flat grey though.
