Re: Rifleman - but what gun?

The default rifle in CoC is a standard bolt action rifle. These are all handled with the same stats so not differentiated in the troop lists. Generally troops with something other than a bolt action rifle will say what they are armed with, e.g. US troops with M1 Garnad or M1 Carbine which are both ...

Rifleman - but what gun?

Hi there again guys. Looking at the various Army list, but specifically the German lists, I'm a bit at a loss by the fact that only the machine gun used by the teams gets identified, any other member is considered a Rifleman. But what exactly what kind of "Rifle" are they using in each list? When ca...

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

Hi Thommy, The army lists have evolved to some extent since the core rules were published. So while your first statement is generally true there are now some exceptions to that rule in later lists as Big Rich has responded to comments from the community. You'll find lengthy discussions on the topic...

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

RAW the rules state, regarding German lists, for instance, "Transport only vehicles, such as the SdKfz 251 and the Kubelwagen are simply vehicles which come with no crew. Remember, you will need to allocate men to drive these and to crew any weapons you festoon them with." or "If your Panzergrenadie...

Re: Tripod and Support weapons crews

It’s primarily a factor improving survivability without increasing firepower. In general if a team has x crew, they all are included in the weapon factor. If a team has y crew + z riflemen ( typically light weapons) then while they all act as a team for command and control, but the z riflemen do ad...

Tripod and Support weapons crews

Unlike other systems I´m seeing that most support weapons under CoC have a higher crew number threshold, namely 5 (with plus one 1 junior leader in some cases), be it for a Tripod MMG or HMG, or a PAK40. In the case of MMH or HMG even though 5 are needed its efficiency is only reduced if the crew dr...

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

TommyThor "But I’m still not certain about the effect of the formation of a new team on the original team, read, will this activate the original team or not." You did not activate the original section in the first place you activated the JL who the used a CI to form a scout team and send them on th...

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

Só basically so far: A) scout team can be deployed using a 1 on CD; B) Deployed units can form new teams only under direction of a Leader via CI; C) they become individual teams when they leave the 4” cohesion range, reverting to the original team when they fall back into said range. But I’m still n...

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

Mechanically speaking how do we go about creating a new team under rule 4.5.7? Its clear that we can, but by what mechanism and using what Command Die result? By this I mean: - Can a new team be created using a 1 in a Command Dice, and thus not needing a leader, or it takes a leader, be it Junior or...
