Re: Clouds

It was getting late here and I forgot to complete the idea.

If an enemy pilot does not pass completely through the cloud in the same turn then he loses sight of of the other aircraft and must re-spot the other plane.

Hope that makes sense, up early as usual.

Clouds

Clouds are the terrain of the sky. Clouds in an air game can be a pain. A simple solution we use is to consider cloud cover to be in tenths - clear to 10/10 total cloud at a cloud base altitude and height-depth of cloud upward determined before the game. This could be either randomly or set by scena...

Force Morale for IABSM

The 29 Let's Go Large article in the Xmas special has me thinking about how loss of ground could be incorporated into IABSM using a chart similar to that used in CoC force morale. Loss of positions often does have an impact on troop morale so should be considered. It appears that the easiest way wou...

Re: Light Car Patrols

I'm inclined to think a strength of 2 but unless moving on a road they can only be targeted at short range by Infantry-MG's-artillery. The reason is I think the crews would be using whatever cover, low spots or scrub available unless on a road. If patrolling or scouting they would be looking for any...

Re: Light Car Patrols

Found a little on light car mobility. On open/good going ground speed doesn't seem to be appreciably faster than an armored car so no change. Because they are much lighter than an armored car their movement in bad going and loose sand should be quite a bit better than an armored car. Still looking f...

Re: Duration of games?

Start with a basic company without a lot of supports or just use 2 rifle platoons. Add air, artillery and so on as players gain experience.
Step by step is the best approach with most game rules. Should be playable in 3 hours.

Re: Battle for liberation: German fallschirmjaeger action di

Use artillery or any HE available anyway. Tree bursts are deadly unless the dug in troops have overhead cover.

Tree bursts are covered in the rules. Don't remember exactly where and don't have access to the rules at the moment.
