Re: Starting in 6mm (WW2)

The new minis from H&R is nice and works with Adler. Even their new vehicles are worth a look. Not as nice as GHQ and 1/300 but considerably cheaper
As for terrain, this scale has soooooo many good manufacturers now. And basic scenery is cheap and relatively easy to diy.

Re: 2nd game in the 7YW Sugar Islands campaign

Not really sure what you are asking? We use 15mm minis to represent individual figures. SP ground scale is really closer to 1/100 and 15mm so that size mini works quite well.

Re: Russian naval troops

That's what I use. They can have additional Smgs and auto rifles but they really are green troops. If you feel they should be tougher allow them to ignore a couple of shock points for close combat.

Re: Grabow Feb 45 6mm IABSM game

It was a nice change of pace from the Normandy games. I really like the way IABSM works with 6mm.

Grabow Feb 45 6mm IABSM game

Inspired by issue 184 of After the Battle magazine, I decided to do a late war game based on actions in one of the Oder Bridgeheads in Feb, 1945. It allowed me to try some loaded-for-bear SS foot units and was a change of pace from the Normandy kick I was on. The Soviet 49th Gds Tank Brigade (with T...

le Haut Perrier IABSM game in 6mm

I stole this scenario from a couple of websites that had AARs of "Lets Get the Bastards' game 12 from the TooFatLardies book "Cymru Am Byth" This is an attack for control of the little cluster of farm buildings on top of hill 242 overlooking Chenedolle at Le Haut Perrier on August 11, 1944. What I r...

Great report I can certainly sympathize with your dice rolling. My latest project involve a Green unit and I think they will just stay in hard cover every chance they get.

Re: 2nd game in the 7YW Sugar Islands campaign

Sounds great. Shawn. We're up for anything. I am planning on another Normandy IABSM, Crimean COC, and William is about ready for his Pacific IABSM.
