Most of our one off games end with one side realising they've lost and stopping playing or running out of time and it not being worth leaving to conclude the following week. In all the games we have played I think we have had FM move maybe twice. It's basically been irrelevant for us. Wait, wha...? How? So attaching a leader to a team is extremely costly. It requires a 1 to move the team and a 3 to move the leader. So in essence takes a 3 to do anything. Personally I've got no issue with a 1 allowing an attached leader to be "one of the men" in the same way as a 2 does. A 3 or 4 unlocks the command...

I'd rather keep FOO and snipers hidden off table until revealed and allow players to brass up their choice of target than make them randomly shoot a building.

By extension then the tank is perfectly legitimate in sending a HE round into any and all window and building it can see surely on the off chance.

All well and good but you don't have to bring a ranging shot full stop. You can just call for a barrage.
