Re: Refreshing my memory questions

I've just noticed that my diagram for 3 didn't save the formatting so I'm now not sure if the answer is following the point I was trying to make. diagram was supposed to look like this. ...............................................................................................XX ================...

Re: Refreshing my memory questions

But when you have only an inch to move to see the target it's a 50:50. To be honest I can't recall whether it was actually done or just talked about when debating whether it was worth it. Thanks for the replies. I solo'd the rest of the game this afternoon as I was curious to see how it would pan ou...

Re: Refreshing my memory questions

Munin, thanks for the swift reply.

That's cleared up everything I think and shown a couple of errors in our handling of the rules we hadn't spotted. I searched the vehicle rules for 5 minutes last night and could not see the passage you so easily directed me to! :)

Refreshing my memory questions

Been a while since we have played much CoC and consequently I was left with a number of questions after last night's game. 1) We played US paras vs Wehrmacht, which as far as I can see gives the Germans 4 extra support levels? Is this right? 2) A command dice of 1 can only be used to deploy a standa...

Re: German off-table machine gun

I'd have said any table edge provided it was clearly behind the line of advance of any friendly jump off point or patrol marker if you'd prefer to do it at that point. But then I have been wrong before.

Re: Forests vs Orchards

Who uses 6 inch by 4 inch fields tho? I've never seen one on a table anyway.

Non units on blinds

I get that while on a blind a platoon is under control and that the Big Men probably have little to do. But what if I have a forward observer on a blind, or to further complicate things is hidden. I can spot from a blind without revealing myself, but I can I request fire without being on table? (I'm...

Re: CDS Questions

Hi, thanks a lot for the detailed response. When I said the forum, I meant this area specifically. Clearly the newer rulesets are popular! From what you wrote, I'm clear on pretty much everything except a couple of issues around blinds and "spotted". Does a fire marker mean a unit is spotted or not?...

Re: CDS Questions

Thanks John. I had another go at posting on the Yahoo group and it seems to not have swallowed it this time. I hate Yahoo groups because they're so flaky and not very user friendly but there seems to be a large number of participants there that aren't here! Thanks for the pointer. My CDS was dated 2...
