Re: Rules questions after three games

My apologies for not answering this yesterday, we were playtesting until just before midnight and nI am now about to leave for Nottingham. Full marks to the Captain for his top drawer answers. The only one that I can see that I'd adjust slightly is the task roll. If you deploy directly onto the task...

Re: Rich’s New game video and big question

There is no groundscale with Infamy. Lack of game-dominating ranged weapons makes it superfluous and, dare I say it, an unnecessary diversion. The key ranges are pila and javelin range, and they are abstractions.

Re: Infamy, Infamy! - Errata and Queries

Hi Neil John is quite right. When a Group, Mob or Formation is activated they can then do some or all of those things. Move, throw missiles and enter into close combat. The exception is the Romans who need Signa Cards to throw missiles and Foerderati who can use Signa Cards to throw missiles as well...

Re: Questions about the Battering Ram

At the skirmish level we are talking about, the ram is more like this than one in a penthouse which would be more associated with major sieges. [img]https://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/6/68/Battering_ram_%28PSF%29.png/[img] As the rules say. just a couple of men is enough to wield this an...

Infamy, Infamy! Errata and FAQ. Plus a bit more

Morning all.

Lard Island News has the Errata and FAQ for Infamy, Infamy! I've also added a small(ish) article about some ideas for adding a bit of narrative veneer when wagons are used in your games. Find it all here:

Re: First Game

I have a kneeling Gaul on one Ambush Point, but it was a major conversion job with a set of WWII plastic German infantry legs. Crazy that nobody does them.

Re: First Game

I bought a standing horse from somewhere, then just used three spearman types who looked like they were standing around rather than leaping about. Mind are two crusader figures and one Foundry. They look like they are standing with a spare mount and spare javelins. I know what you mean about Warlord...

Re: First Game

Your nobles can evade if attacked in the flank or rear. The rule for pulling off after two rounds of combat is a self-defence mechanism that is particularly powerful for Gallic cavalry as the have stewards, so they strip off shock pretty quickly and then come back for more. As a top tactical tip, I’...
