Re: Soviet 1939-1940 lists up

Greetings Lastly I'd like to say that I do hope that these new Lists and options that CoC provides to don't start to lead to lot of "Points" based arguments and math based optimal list building competitions like so many other games out there. Play smart and few points difference don't mean a thing :...

Re: Allocating Command Dice

Greetings My reading of 4.2.1 'Having rolled the Command Dice, the player decides which Units or Leaders he wishes to activate or deploy using those dice' is that you allocate the command dice prior to resolving - but you can then resolve sequentially or all at once - and what the Unit or Leader doe...

Re: M3 Grant hull gun arc of fire

The M3 Grant/Lee apparently had a 30 degree traverse for the 75mm (15 left, 15 right) from straight ahead.

As a comparison, the StuG III had (depending on model) between 20 and 24 degree traverse.

Re: Soviet 1939-1940 lists up

Greetings

Note also that if anyone wants to drop the squad sizes to 12 (rather than 15) as discussed on the yahoo group then going by the discussions on understrength units I think you could reduce the force value by -4 (4 squads x 3 men =12; -1 point per 3 men per platoon).

That's the one. I suspect once it is amplified a bit we ought to break it out into it's own thread.

Re: Force rating calculation

Greetings

See the 'Some CoC questions' thread - at the (current) end Rich is starting to discuss how one can modify lists.

I've no idea how to do links between threads ...

Re: Couple of CoC questions

Greetings One thing I'm playing around with is creating lists for ~1943 Soviet organisations using the December 1942 shtaty. At TO&E these would need 4 x 9 man squads with 2 squads having one DP LMG and 2 squads having 1 DP LMG. How would one figure this out compared to the 3 10-man squad organisati...

38th Irish Brigade

Greetings Just in case anyone is interested here is a web site on 38th (Irish) Infantry Brigade, one of the UK 78th Infantry Division's infantry brigades. There's a lot here including brigade and battalion war diaries. I've often thought of doing 2 LIR's fight for San Fattucio on the Trasimene posit...

Soviet 1939-1940 lists up

Greetings

Rich has posted the early Soviet lists on the blog: http://toofatlardies.co.uk/blog/wp-cont ... 39-402.pdf

Only thing I've noticed so far is that under the SVT-38 entry there should be an 'any' not an 'and'.
