First Game of the Year: George of the Jungle!

And so to the first battle of 2019: a game of I Ain’t Been Shot, Mum! against Dave using one of the scenarios from the TooFatLardies Summer Special 2016 . For those unaware of the Specials, and now the Lard Magazine, these are a wonderful source of scenarios, information and inspiration for all Lard...

Re: Anti tank guns, 1st activation & subsequent activation

Thanks for your answer, Vis Bellica. Very straightforward. So, does the "Aiming bonus" if you did not move the previous turn also apply to AT guns.......(or only to tanks).... For a typical AT gun...3 actions in one turn......probably already hidden in place (thus did not move the previous turn) -1...

For your second comment about AT vehicles, does this mean that for example, a Zug of 5 SS-Jagdpanthers or a Platoon of 5 M-18 Hellcats.........should, depending upon scenario........be represented by 5 individual AT-Vehicle cards?
Yes.

Oh, and the above usually applies to AT vehicles, and can sometimes apply to artillery acting in an AT role. Depends on the scenario.

Re: Actions when Teak Break card drawn

Hi Dan Your questions really all roll up into: "what do I do if a unit card never comes up?". The answer is "Nothing: the unit doesn't get to act. Unlucky!" If you read a lot of WW2 histories, autobiographies, historical accounts etc, you will see there are loads of occasions when a unit, for whatev...

Re: Anti tank guns, 1st activation & subsequent activation

Hi To answer your questions in an order/a way that seems logical to me... a) The number of guns in a unit depends on the unit. The theatre handbooks/scenario packs give details. b) Unless otherwise specified, each gun gets the same number of Actions as a full strength infantry squad from your force....

Re: Slow loading guns

I track it across the Tea Break. It's supposed to be a 'bad thing', so finding ways to ameliorate its effect is a bit cheesy!

Re: HE fire at buildings

Hi I'm assuming you mean whether it is legitimate for a unit to fire at a building that they know is empty in order to achieve something...such as denying it to the enemy. This isn't specifically covered by the rules, so I would just work out whether it seemed right that the player (which could be m...

A Left Hook At Lille

Time for another game of I Ain’t Been Shot, Mum! with John and Dave…but what to play? Dave has requested an early war encounter, so a quick look back through my library of scenarios and I settle on one of Richard Clarke’s games: Lille. The premise is simple: Rommel’s Germans are advancing rapidly on...
