Re: Actions when Teak Break card drawn

Hi Dan Your questions really all roll up into: "what do I do if a unit card never comes up?". The answer is "Nothing: the unit doesn't get to act. Unlucky!" If you read a lot of WW2 histories, autobiographies, historical accounts etc, you will see there are loads of occasions when a unit, for whatev...

Re: Anti tank guns, 1st activation & subsequent activation

Hi To answer your questions in an order/a way that seems logical to me... a) The number of guns in a unit depends on the unit. The theatre handbooks/scenario packs give details. b) Unless otherwise specified, each gun gets the same number of Actions as a full strength infantry squad from your force....

Re: Slow loading guns

I track it across the Tea Break. It's supposed to be a 'bad thing', so finding ways to ameliorate its effect is a bit cheesy!

Re: HE fire at buildings

Hi I'm assuming you mean whether it is legitimate for a unit to fire at a building that they know is empty in order to achieve something...such as denying it to the enemy. This isn't specifically covered by the rules, so I would just work out whether it seemed right that the player (which could be m...

A Left Hook At Lille

Time for another game of I Ain’t Been Shot, Mum! with John and Dave…but what to play? Dave has requested an early war encounter, so a quick look back through my library of scenarios and I settle on one of Richard Clarke’s games: Lille. The premise is simple: Rommel’s Germans are advancing rapidly on...

Great looking games!

Sorry to hear about the car crash. Hope you're okay and that the figures are repairable.

IABSM AAR: An Affair at Gazala

The regular TooFatLardies specials are a fantastic source of scenarios for all the TFL products, including that hardy perennial, I Ain’t Been Shot, Mum! With John coming round for a game, I needed a quick bit of inspiration (sometimes you need a change from playing your own scenarios all the time) s...

Re: Anyone here use Sabot bases with 15mm

Hey @Vis Lardica, amazed how much detail you can cram into 15mm figs :-) Like the green edges to the sabots. I use a more sandy colour for my bases and flock with green grass, but haven't decided yet what colour to paint the sabot edges. Did you experiment with other colours? Black, brown? Do you a...

Re: Anyone here use Sabot bases with 15mm

I use sabot bases, custom cut for me by Warbases. My infantry are individually based on 5p pieces, with squad support weapons on a 2p piece. I have three types of sabot base: 6 individuals and 1 SSW team; 8 individuals and 1 SSW team; and 4 individuals and 2 SSW teams. The sabot also has a hole for ...
