Re: First games

We played Sunday and only managed to get 1 kill in 3 hours, and it was a Panther vs a Stuart caught offguard. Not so easy to get the perfect set of dice results to acquire, aim and fire in one turn; and neither to get enough net hits to cripple the enemy. It’s easy to lose the aim as the enemy only ...

Imposible hits

A SPG turretless tank receives a critical hit
1/ should I roll for hull or turret, or is it automatically a hull hit?
2/ if needing to roll, is a turret hit treated as an impossible hit?

Re: An Encounter Battle

IM-PRES-SIVE!
Can I ask
1/ what table size did you use?
2/ What size (in models) did the battalions have?
I'm fighting to convince my club pals to move to 28mm but to no avail

Re: Review of General d'Armee

I'm not concerned about the men to model ratio in my case. As the important elements of the game are formations and unit size, we have organised our units in terms of "bases" using what we had at hand in 20mm (bases for Principles of War rules). In that sense we agreed in the club to use 3,4 and 6 b...

Austerlitz book

I’m about to finish reading “1805 Austerlitz” by Robert Goetz. It’s an excellent account of both the campaign and the battle; specially the latter in very high detail and accompanied with lots of maps. It can provide endless materials to write scenarios for General d’Armee and I cannot recommend the...

We are actually playing as John was indicating: firing only with the bases in range
