Re: Metal miniatures to mix with Airfix & HaT Napoleonics?

If you check out "Plastic Soldier Review" you will find other plastics manufacturers, such as Zvezda; more importantly, their reviews give the typical height of figures, which is helpful. Newline are one of the few "genuine 20mm" 20mm metal ranges (most are actually "true 25mm") that are compatible ...

Re: Starting in CoC, looking for help on 15mm vs 20mm

If you want to assess the practical differences between the two main scales - 20mm (1/72-1/76)* and 28mm (1/56-1/60) - may I suggest that you study the two versions of the Gembloux Gap pint-sized campaign, fought recently by The Tactical Painter (20mm) and Lardy Rich & Rotund Nick (28mm). Re: Gembloux Gap campaign (updated 05 10 19)

I think the problem here is one of perception. These Gembloux re-fights (both Rich's/Nick's and MLB's) occur over four actual days of game-playing, interspersed with days when "real life" takes over, which makes the whole process seem like a long time. In game terms, what we've seen in each case is ...

Re: Cavalry Scouting

I recently read something about mounted French Spahis launching a charge against Germans in Tunisia in an attempt to (re)capture the bridge over the Medjerda River at Medjez. Unfortunately, they started their charge just as a flight of Stukas arrived. :( I think I'd take the dice away from their CO...
