Re: British Infantry Tank Question

The 2pdr gun certainly did have a HE shell. I've read accounts of Australian 2pdr AT-gun batteries using the He shell as their primary anti-tank round during the Malaysian Campaign in 1942. The guns crews found that the AP shell would pass through a Japanese tank and not disable the vehicle. As a co...

Re: British Infantry Tank Question

Hi All, I've played 15mm games using British infantry tanks. The 2pr gun definitely don't have a HE roind in North Africa; neither were 2pdr AT-guns batteries given HE rounds. The reason given was the small explosive charge in the 2pdr round would not be effective, combined with belief that the tank...

Re: Newbie to TMB

Hi Gamma, I'm also new to TMB. I going to play 1914 in 28mm. I have finished painting my French platoon and started my German platoon. I used the 1914 TO&E to organise both platoons; I found the TO&E's on google. As expected, there is conflicting information. After looking at a number of sources, I ...

Re: Close combat and recon units break off

Fair comment, what you're saying is true. There are sufficient mechanism in the rules to move troops.

I was thinking like a gamer not an Infantry commander. It is also a reflection of my lack of experience with the IABSM rules.

Thanks for your thoughts.

Close combat and recon units break off

Hi All, I've come across situations where a single section or FOO has been force to fight a close combat they had no hope of winning; and where their historical counterparts in a real combat situation would have withdrawn rather than be annihilated of no good purpose. I've been considering allow a d...

Blind clarification and recon scenario

Hi All, Blinds Clarification. Section 2.1, talks about "troops" moving under blinds. I'm interpreting this to mean that more than one Platoon can be moved under one blind, is this correct? For example, it is acceptable to move a British infantry platoon and a infantry tank troop under on blind. Reco...

Re: RCW Adaptation?

Paul, I can't help you with your RCW question, but I do living in Sydney. I interest in play through the mud and blood. I have 1914 28mm French ready to play, and I've starting painting 1914 Germans. I've also played "if the lord spare us", in 6mm. I've looked at your website. I would be interested ...

Painting 1914 Germans

Hi All, I'm about to start painting 28mm 1914 Germans. There are many painting guides about with conflicting information. Based on these guides it appears that 1914 Germans should be painted grey/green and field grey from mid-1915. This being the case, I'm planning to painting my 1914 Germans grey/g...

Re: First game of ITLSU

Thanks John you are always helpful. I am suggest that rule 9.6 is ignored for units that are forc d to fall back due to suppression. The reason being the particular unit has hard a time in combat and is concerns get to safe position rather than looking for more combat, I believe this reflect what my...
