Withdrawing at the end of the turn?

Hi All, I have also posted this question on the IABSM Facebook page. At the risk of being accused of heresy, I’m proposing that a unit should be allowed to withdraw when the tea break is drawn. Why? I’ve had situations in games where unit has been in a poor tactical situation when the tea break card...

Re: Battalion level WW2 Now called "O" Group or the story of "Oooooh"

Hi All,

I watch the O-Group video this morning, looks like you will need to think like a command and make tactical decision.

I'm looking forward to getting these rules.

Re: Fokker D.VII

Hi Len, I've used the "Dog Fight Over Flanders" rules in the past. I haven't played them for long time. I found them to be easy to use and gave an enjoyable game while being realistic. I used these rules for 1 squadron Australian Flyiing Corp in Palestine and Syria with 1/300 scale models. Regards D...

Re: Russian Tank Riders

On Pg7 of the Bashyna or Bust book there is a section relating to tanker riders. This is a summary: - one section per AFV; - dismount using one action; - may then move with remaining actions if AFV did not move; - if AFV moved section actions are reduced; - rider are are great shot target while amou...

Re: Partial section fire

I've played about 10 games so I don't claim to be an expert on the rules and I haven't faced the situation you described. My approach would be to use the unit action table on Pg18 to reduce the number of actions based on the number of men able to fire. For example if your section were good regulars,...

Re: Skirmishing the Second Boer War

Relating to force moral, we use the sharps practice rules. We haven't tried CoC'ing mud and blood yet as we play 1914 when there were no LMG or bombing teams in a platoon. We haven't worked out what team would activate on a command dice roll of 1; it's a work in progress. I think any of the rules su...
