Never get in static fire fight with any opponent. It is a waste of your men and of your abilities. Many have already posted British tactics already. If you are using Americans, you have to make the most use of American special abilities and weaponry. The Americans have superior movement capabilities...

Walls in northern France are usually dressed stone construction. Mostly light grey and tans (with the occasional darker/browner stones) with lots of mold and moss. I wouldn't worry about mortar as the afore-mentioned mold darkens it to a black/green/blackish-green. Many walls are also plastered/whit...

Do other minuses to hit count, such as "damaged gun site" on the vehicle damage table, or -1 to hit for smoke grenades?

While the 4 card "double" activation is usually better, remember that you don't always get all your command cards in a turn. SP can be used earlier in a turn. Loading can be a life saver if you are about to be charged. And using SP on 2 separate formations may be a better play than activating 1 twice!
