Re: WW2 6mm Hex terrain and Lard games

I based my 6mm figures on steel and then I lined my carrier with magnetic sheets. My figures stay in place and don't bang into anything. It also gives the bases some heft. If you base using plastic or don't base at all, protecting the paint and any thin pointy bits is a big problem. I painted the ba...

Re: 15mm measurement

The answer is that the terrain will dictate whether the 4x4 is too small. With plenty of LOS blocking terrain, it should be plenty big enough.

Re: Rifle Grenades Vs Armour

Rifle AT grenades should be a significant downgrade from bazookas, 'shreks, fausts, and even PIATs. They are a step above satchel charges, sticky bombs, and molotov cocktails, but only because you don't have to be nearly as close to the tank to attack it. If they were any good, there would have been...

Re: Cleaning oxidised figures

There are better alternatives to dettol out there. I've used acetone with a toothbrush with good results. I've heard that neat rubbing alcohol also works.

Re: Targeting Tanks with ATG's of Bazookas

I do apply the -1 for cover fire against an AT attack. But it's generally more effective to fire to try and wipe out the AT team and cause a BTH roll as well as removing the asset. As far as not allocating units to a JOP, it's a two way street. The attacker is also free to completely change his axis...

Re: Multi Targeting

Hypothetical because it's basically a call by some in the forum (including from me) for some cleanup and clarification on some rules, some rethinking of other rules (mostly medium mortars), and some additions (like night fighting). I've not heard anything from Rich or Nick that they are even contemp...

Re: Questions about medium obstacles and shock

Yes, I'd like to see that change: a unit moving away from the enemy does not have to subtract for shock.

Re: WW2 6mm Hex terrain and Lard games

I have about 40+ stands of American infantry and 40+ Shermans and all the support weapons and tanks you could want. I have sufficient Germans to oppose them. My American infantry is Adler, 95% of my vehicles are GHQ, and my Germans are GHQ, although I have German Adler to replace them when I get aro...

Re: WW2 6mm Hex terrain and Lard games

Very nice.

I have a lot of 6mm and I'm waiting to Mr Brown to release his rules "O Group". From everything that I've read, it should be a great set of rules to match for my minis.

Re: Ongoing Rule Clarification Thread

The rules state a German flamethrower team is three men. Is it three guys with flamethrowers or one flamer and two smgs or two rifles?? Same question applies for panzerknacker teams. All it says is two men and one two man LMG. Are the two men armed only with explosives and smoke? Or do they have we...
