Re: Demoralisation levels

How about every time you lose a skirmish stand, any units contributing to the skirmish screen take a casualty (or two)? So that 85th with 8 casualties goes to 9 (or 10) when the screen loses a stand. Eventually, that unit is going to disperse if the screen keeps losing stands even if it keeps gettin...

Re: 4 Kill results on 2 riflemen and attached junior and senior leader

The game is D6 based so I'm not that keen on adding a different die type for one thing. The other thing is that if a large section of 12 guys gets hit with 6 casualties, it's not really a 50% chance that the section leader is going to be one of them. The leaders are expected to lead, and that means ...

Re: Under Command vs Attached

In Chain of Command, it's the leaders that attach to a unit to, for example, rally off shock while the unit is in LOS of the enemy. I usually indicate attachment by placing the leader within 2" of a figure of the unit. In Chain of Command, I'd consider a unit to be under command if it is within the ...

Re: Last ferry to Calais

Well you could follow one unit and if it succeeds in gaining a great campaign victory, it manages to be evacuated after all (or gets an extend leave and then assigned to the Paris garrison for a while). A lesser victory would mean that some personnel get away and the rest get gong notices with their...

Re: Interrupt with a Senior Leader

Yup, that's how I play it. The leader orders (a CI) someone (probably the closest figure to the enemy) to throw a grenade, and so that figure actually does the chucking (and therefore measure from that figure). If the leader is the closest, he can do it himself (but he still has to pay the CI, which...

Re: Using The September War for COC

In the case of the Poles vs Germans, maybe green vs green for the first encounter or two, then after the initial real-life learning curve, snap both forces back to their regular or even higher status? Where both forces are equally inexperienced, I'd just treat both as regular as being both easier t...

Re: Deploying squad with Jr. Ldr

What Rich has confirmed was absolutely obvious from the RAW! With five pages of discussion in this thread alone and the previous thread on top, clearly 'obvious' it was not. Agree with this. I've been playing that with a 3, the section deploys. If the JL wants the unit to fire, that cost a CI. That...

Re: Forming Scout Teams

Scout teams have their usefulness, but you really have to decided whether what they will accomplish is worth the almost certain BTH hit. Their best use it to force your opponent into deploying a team or section into a JOP that you have no real interest in attacking or where you have a massive amount...
